Wild Sustainable Quality Salmon

We are simple fishermen with a straight forward approach to who we are and what we have to sell. We sell Sockeye and King salmon. Individually portioned, vac packed, skin on, pin bones out.

Simple. Healthy. Convenient.

Sustainable salmon from a trusted source. We only sell what we catch. We never buy and re sell others product for profit.

Small sustainable fishery with a small family fishing operation.

We are a small fishing family that fish for salmon every summer and spend the rest of the year direct marketing our salmon to other small businesses and consumers like us. Mom, Dad, 3 kids, 1 wild dog, and a grandma and a grandpa.

We fish for salmon on the Alsek River, 60 air-miles from the nearest town, Yakutat, Alaska.

We catch a few fish at a time not hundreds at a time. This makes it so we can handle each fish on our own making sure they are handled with care.

The Alsek river is a glacial river that has one of the highest qualities of salmon you can get. The reason for this is the glacial water make our salmon naturally have a higher omega 3 and fat content then any other salmon.

The history of Alsek Fish

Alsek Fish was started in the early 80’s by Kaytlynn’s grandpa, Harold. He was way ahead of his time wanting to direct market his own fish. He saw that he couldn’t always depend on the local fish canneries to buy his catch so he wanted to make sure that he could still do what he loved and make a living. That was the beginning of Alsek Fish. A few years after starting his own direct fish to customer business of catching and processing his own salmon his wife became sick with cancer and he spent the rest of her time taking care of her. After her passing Alsek Fish was put on the back plate as the family adjusted to life without her. In 2005 Alsek Fish was resurrected by Kaytlynn’s parents, Pat and Lisa and their close friends Brad and Rachel. Kaytlynn spent every summer catching and processing salmon alongside her siblings and parents. In 2009 Kaytlynn married her high school sweetheart, Brandt. They quickly realized that the fisher life was for them. Today Alsek Fish is still a small family business. Brandt and Kaytlynn and Kaytlynn’s parents are the fishermen, the owners, and the operators of Alsek Fish. They love the fishing life and direct marketing their own salmon. It is so cool to be the ones catching the fish, processing it H&G, and then sending it off or handing it over to a customer at the farmers market. Do you know your fisherman? Well now you do.
